Biography
Robert joined Wellington Partners in 2024 as an Analyst in the Life Sciences team.
Before joining Wellington, Robert worked as an Intern at Gimv’s Life Sciences Venture Capital platform, where he supported the investment team in deal screening, due diligence processes, and portfolio related work.
Robert holds a Master’s degree in Biochemistry from the Ludwig-Maximilians-University (LMU) in Munich. The research he performed for his Master’s thesis at UC San Diego was published in Cell. He was awarded a PhD in Biochemistry with summa cum laude from LMU for his structural biology-focused work on regulatory aspects of protein biosynthesis, which lead to numerous publications in Science, NSMB, Mol Cell, Nature, EMBO J and other high impact journals.
During his PhD he was a recipient of the PhD fellowship from the Boehringer-Ingelheim-Fonds and upon completion of his PhD thesis he was awarded the Römer prize for outstanding achievements by young scientists.
