Biography
Kai joined Wellington Partners in 2022 as an Analyst.
During medical school, he worked as an intern at Fresenius Medical Care Ventures which sparked his interest in Life Science Venture Capital. At FMC Ventures he was involved in several investment processes from initial deal screening to due diligence.
Prior to joining Wellington, Kai studied medicine at the University of Göttingen and gained hands-on experience across various fields of clinical practice including Hematology and Medical Oncology (Charité Berlin), Radiation Oncology (TU Dresden) and Interventional Radiology (Taipei).
His research in the field of Molecular Oncology led him to explore the interplay between common oncogenes and DNA replication and got awarded at the German Cancer Congress. Kai was a fellowship holder of the German Cancer Aid and the German Academic Scholarship Foundation.
